Hmm actual animation is hard to "teach" It's really only something that can be learned.

I picked up what I know from playing a lot of 2d games and looking at the sprites used in them.

i took a traditional animation class ^_^
i just dont know how to make the gif files -_- (i suppose this comment makes me look bad)

Not at all, it's actually refreshing t hear since I get a lot of questions about actual animation that I can't exactly answer easily, haha.

It depends on the program you're using really, and what program you're most comfortable with using. Photoshop can make animated gifs, but I don't use it for mine simply because I don't like the interface, even though it works just fine.

If you're using photoshop this should come in handy though. [link]
